So recently I got the chance to try out The Kat Von D Lock-It Foundation & Concealer ! Just to let you know I did received these items complimentary via Influenster for purpose of trying out and giving my honest opinion. I even did a video trying them out that i will link below!
So recently i was just minding my own little business checking the mail , when i saw an unfamiliar package that I wasn’t expecting. The ptsd in me told me it might be something dangerous, sent my some evil goblin but upon opening i realized it was a package marked with Kat Von D and Influenster and I was Ecstatic!!
I have only received two other items complimentary of Influenster. They were the Marc Jacobs Enamoured Glosses that i actually genuinely Enjoyed. Ive been more into glosses as my skin is seemingly getting dryer and dryer every day.
I always wanted to try Kat Von D makeup but it has always been out of my budget and not exactly fitting with my pastel soft aesthetic i usually go for in makeup and everything else. That being said I will give you my honest thoughts.The good , the bad and the meh.
So upon first seeing the foundation shade sent I had the gut feeling that this would be too light for me and SPOILER ALERT : It Was! I first applied avacado oil to my face which is what i do before any foundation because any foundation on my naked face ends up looking busted and crusted 
So this foundation raves about the ability to only need two pea -sized pumps for flawless full coverage. I found that I had to use about 4 pea-sized pumps to achieve full coverage. I definitely like trying make-up more then once because what may have not worked the first day could very well work the next. So Below I will put the positives and negatives in bulletin order.
As for the concealer I felt like it brought out my fines lines more than usual and was just a bad match in general but TBH i don’t really like using concealer.I usually just set my foundation with brightening powder and call it a day.

hard to blend even though i applied to oiled up face
false advertising(needed more than two pumps)
Small Shade Range for Deeper Skin Tones
So that being said My honest thoughts, at the price point of $35 macaroons, I’d much rather reach for my handy dandy Loreal Pro Matte Foundation any day but just because i say that doesn’t mean i didn’t like the lock it foundation and concealer ;just not for me.
